Facials in Birmingham: Purifying & Mini Facials, Simply Explained (2026)
14 October 2026
Looking for a facial in Birmingham that comes with a little more time to relax? At Clover Wellness Birmingham, in Erdington on the Sutton Coldfield side of the city, you can book a one-hour purifying facial for £65 or a 30-minute mini facial for £45, either on their own or as part of a spa day with the sauna, steam room, hot tub and gardens. This guide explains the treatments on offer, what to expect, how to prepare and how to make a day of it.

Facials at Clover: what’s on the menu
At the time of writing (October 2026), the treatment menu on our booking partner lists two options:
- Purifying facial: 1 hour, £65. A full hour with time to properly unwind.
- Mini facial: 30 minutes, £45. A shorter treatment that fits into a lunch break or sits nicely alongside a massage.
Clover also offers holistic body treatments:
- Full body scrub: 30 minutes, £49
- Total Body Care: 90 minutes, £115, a 30-minute scrub followed by a 60-minute massage
- Mud body wrap: 90 minutes, £115
A treatment on its own doesn’t include spa use. Check the booking page for the latest menu, prices and availability.
What usually happens during a facial
Every therapist has their own way of working and will talk you through what’s included, but the treatment usually follows a pattern like this:
- Consultation. A few questions about your skin, any sensitivities or allergies, and what you’d like from the treatment.
- Cleanse. Make-up and the day’s grime are gently removed.
- Exfoliate. Dead skin cells are lifted away so your skin feels smoother.
- Mask. A mask is applied and left to work, often while your therapist massages your hands, neck or shoulders.
- Facial massage. Slow, soothing strokes across the face, which many people say is the most relaxing part.
- Finish. Toner and moisturiser to leave your skin feeling fresh and comfortable.
A longer treatment gives more time for each step, especially the massage and the mask, while the 30-minute version covers the essentials.
Purifying facial or mini facial?
- Choose the purifying facial if you want a full hour of being looked after, or if it’s a treat for a birthday or special occasion.
- Choose the mini facial if you’re short on time, want to try one for the first time, or want to add it to a massage.
Not sure? Tell the team what you’re hoping for when you book, and they’ll help you choose.
Combine a facial with a massage
The two together make a lovely half day. A popular pairing is a 30-minute mini facial with a 30-minute Indian head massage or relaxing foot massage, or a purifying facial followed by a hot stone massage if you’d like the full works. See our guide to massage in Erdington for the full list.

Make it a spa day
Skin treatments feel even better when you’ve had time to slow down first. A spa day at Clover includes the sauna, steam room, hot tub, cold plunge pool, heated stone loungers, gardens and café bar, with no time slots.
- New to Clover? The Feel Better Than Ever spa day for first-time guests includes a guided tour, full use of the spa, a 20-minute taster treatment, tea or coffee, a £10 café allowance and a £20 voucher for your next visit. It’s £75 Monday to Thursday and £105 Friday to Sunday.
- Luxury spa day: £99 for one with a one-hour treatment, or £180 for two.
- Ultimate spa day: £135 for one with 90 minutes of treatments and a £10 allowance, or £250 for two.

Facial before or after the heat?
Many people like to have their treatment after time in the spa, when they’re already relaxed. If you plan to use the sauna or steam room afterwards, ask your therapist whether they’d recommend waiting, as freshly treated skin can be more sensitive to heat.
How to prepare for your facial
- Tell the team about any allergies, skin conditions or recent treatments when you book.
- Avoid exfoliating or using strong skincare products the day before.
- If you’ve had a cosmetic procedure recently, check whether the treatment is suitable before you book.
- Come with clean skin if you can, though your therapist will cleanse it anyway.
- Give yourself time afterwards rather than dashing off.
Aftercare
- Try to keep make-up off for the rest of the day if you can.
- Drink plenty of water.
- Use a gentle moisturiser and sun protection over the next few days.
- Ask your therapist if you have any questions about your skin.
A facial as a gift
A facial is a lovely present for a birthday, a new mum, a friend who never stops, or anyone who deserves a quiet hour. Pair it with a spa day to make it extra special. See our spa gift ideas and birthday spa day guide.
Your therapist
Treatments take place in private treatment rooms, one guest at a time. Female therapists work every day, and male therapists are available for pre-booked treatments.
